As we only opened recently in the village we thought we thought we should do something fun for everyone to play on our website. A little trivia quiz never hurt anyone and in this case the winner gets £100 in local shop vouchers. We decided that this village is built on a foundation of great locally run businesses so why not promote that and give someone the chance to sample their wares who may already not have, or the opportunity for a regular to go and do their shop on us.
We had a great response not only from people taking the quiz but also from the businesses we went to. Many well wishes and congratulations to myself and my team on finally breaking away and opening my own place. The businesses we went to were:
‘Holmes Chapel Flowers’ our florist and giver of the beautiful orchid we have adorning our office from the moment we opened.‘Phil Davies, Quality Butchers’ Phil has been in our village since 2003 and him and his team are well loved in the community for their expert knowledge and great produce. ‘Mandevilles Bakery’ has been serving up all manner of tasty treats and pastries for as long as I’ve been in the village and its lovely to still see it going strong, our lucky winner will have a tough time choosing what to spend their vouchers on in here.
‘Morreys of Holmes Chapel’ was a must, the local hardware store may have moved from its dominant setting in the square but it’s still going strong just up the road. Finally, the ‘George & Dragon’ public house and restaurant, having recently been renovated and sporting a huge selection of beverages we had to give our winner the chance to have a delightful night out on us in their restaurant.
So we come to the draw and after carefully mixing up the entries. we are pleased to announce and congratulate Lauren McCaffrey on winning the £100 prize! We are delighted that Lauren could pop by the office and get a quick picture taken with us before taking her winners home to her family. Congratulations Lauren!
